The Maine Department of Education sends me news releases every week about the goings on in the DOE.  This week's news included the announcement that the application process for the next student MDOE Board member is open.  This position offers the opportunity for a local student to have a statewide impact with respect to decisions made about how we "do" education in the state of Maine.  This is the link to the announcement.  The application process closes on March 1st.  Our guidance office would be happy to assist in this application process if you are interested in applying, as would I.  I hope one or more of our students would apply for this position and seek the opportunity to extend their impact beyond the boundaries of RSU 64 to all the students in the state of Maine.  Please reach out if you have questions.
