Each year since I have been here, and I am thinking before that, our student council has planted and harvested a carrot garden out back of the school. Mr. Dan Furlong takes the lead and maintains the garden over the summer with quite a bit of labor on his own time. His example inspires our young people to strive to work for the benefit of others here in our community. The first students I met at CHS were harvesting carrots when I took my first tour of the school after being hired two years ago. I am proud of our students from the student council who, with the help of some cross country runners this morning, harvested around 200 lbs of carrots to donate to the food bank here in Corinth today. They are two things I hope to see from all our students - a sense of community and the desire to put the needs of others first. Congratulations and thanks for your efforts!
