We have two new CUB recipients!! Mrs. King nominated Miss Swett for the award. She shared that she nominated Miss Swett for "her display of dedication, creativity, and fun attitude. She is a dedicated team member and kindergarten teacher who instills fun and creative activities with her kids and provides a positive and enjoyable environment for all staff at CCES". Mrs. Weymouth nominated Mrs. Day and shared that, "Mrs. Day works wherever she is needed in the building with a smile on her face. She is always willing to fill in when someone is out. She always stops to help when someone has a question even if its her breaktime." We're incredible proud of both educators who earned this award from their peers! Help us congratulate them!

CCES has two new CUBS award recipients that we are proud to tell you about! Mrs. Mandigo gave Mrs. Weymouth the CUBS award. She said, "Mrs. Weymouth is always willing to help out when needed. Often times coming in early to help cover a classroom, or changing her schedule at last minute to cover meetings. She is noticed to take the time to get to know the students and their schedules, including each and every student in her bus line. She also works hard to get to know other staff members and truly cares for them! Ms. Harvey gave the award to Carin King. Carin has been with the district for 21 years. Her dedication and kind heart is apparent in all she does. Not only does she go above and beyond to make sure the school is looking its best, she does it with a positive attitude. She is a team player!

Yesterday, we had the absolute pleasure to learn from Matt and Stephanie Mulligan. Matt, a former NFL player, and Stephanie, children's book author and publisher, taught us the importance of encouragement and being part of a team. They shared their story, Just a Kid from Maine, that they coauthored. It taught our kids that determination, trying new things, and learning to grow in every opportunity can lead you to doing great things. Thank you for coming and inspiring our CCES Bear Cubs!

CCES received a HUGE donation last week from CHS very own, Brooklyn Hichborn! Each year, on her birthday, Brooklyn donates items to a non-profit organization in lieu of receiving gifts. This year, she chose CCES as her non-profit! Our lobby bench was filled with tissues, paper towels, shoes, snacks, water, etc. We're honored that Brooklyn thought of us!

We have two new CUB award recipients! Miss Rivard gave Ms. Harvey the CUBS award because, " She has worked in our district for 11 years. She has worked in multiple schools in our district and then came to work at CCES when it opened. She is a hard worker and cares about her job. Her dedication is apparent as you walk down our hallway and into our classrooms. She has been found sitting on the floor in the summer making sure every locker is ready for our new students. She wants the best for herself individually but also for others around her. The students love to see her daily and always will say hello and wave to her and she will smile, say hello, and wave to them. Mrs. Fowler gave Mrs. Mandigo the award and said, "I am so pleased to pass the CUB Award onto a true angel. A special person who works tirelessly and lovingly to meet a multitude of needs for many. Never knowing what the day may bring from smiles to tears (and many things between) while always being kind, comforting, and caring. Natasha Mandigo is a true caretaker of our schools and I recognize her for being a N-nurturing, U-understanding, R-reliable, S-selfless, and E-extraordinary nurse!"
