We currently do not have power at CCES. Estimated restoration is 6:30am. At this time, we will plan to be in school today.

The water pressure has been restored at Central High School. We will be in session tomorrow, Friday, October 25, 2024. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Due to no water at CHS, and the time needed tomorrow to make repairs, there is no school for Central High school students tomorrow, Thursday, October 24, 2024.

Tonight is our community night focusing on Parenting in a Digital Age, with speaker Brooke Shannon at 6pm in the CCES gym. Check out our amazing door prizes you could win, just for being in attendance. Huge thank you to our sponsors for these family fun activities.

Our new teachers had their first meeting today and made connections with each other, their mentors, and administrators. They are ready to make a difference for our students. We are excited to welcome them to RSU 64!

As we get closer to the opening of the 2024-2025 school year it's important to know there are resources available for families finding themselves in difficult situations. The McKinney Vento program helps struggling families ensure school age children can continue to get the support they need to access their education in many situations. We are 2 weeks away from our community event with Brooke Shannon, the founder of Wait Until 8th. Several area businesses have recognized the importance of this event and have donated very generous gift baskets for family fun giveaway prizes. Keep an eye out for these prizes and sponsors.

RSU 64 is in the process of completing its annual application for Title funds. We are accepting public comments regarding the ESEA application through July 25, 2024. On our last student day, and their last day, please join me in thanking Cormier's Bus Service and Leighton's Bus Service for their many, many years of dedication in the transportation of our students! Your safe transport of thousands of students over the past several years has not gone unnoticed! Thank you for taking such great care of our kids!!!

As a part of the Literacy Grant provided by the State of Maine to RSU 64, CHS students had the opportunity to self-select a text this afternoon at a Book Fair. Thanks to BAM for partnering with us to provide this experience for our students!

Central Track Club is preparing for their upcoming summer program for students ages 5-15. There is an informational meeting being held June 12th in the CMS cafeteria at 6pm for anyone interested in learning more about this opportunity.
