Announcements 8/31/2022 -Any student who wants to play Field Hockey, Soccer, Golf or run Cross Country should sign up at the office window during lunch. -All forms needed to participate in sports can be picked up at the office window. Please return these forms as soon as possible. If you have not turned in your sports paperwork, you cannot stay after for tryouts. -Boys soccer tryouts will be held today from 3:00-4:30 -Girls soccer tryouts will be held Today from 3:00-4:45 -Cross country practice will be held today from 3-4:45. -Golf will be held today after school. The bus will leave at 2:30 to head to Whitetail. Parents should pick up their students at the golf course at 4:30. -There will be field hockey practice today and tomorrow right after school. -Any students staying after school for athletics should remain in their homeroom until they are called to the gym to get ready. -Auditions for the One-Act Play, “So You Want to Be a Cheerleader” will be held after school next Wednesday, September 7th and Thursday, September 8th. Any interested students should sign up at the office window during their lunch. -The activity bus will run Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Pick up is at 4:30. -There are many water bottles and other items that were left under the tent after school yesterday. Please be sure to retrieve these items. -Grade 7 & 8 students please be aware that unless you have a pass from a 6th grade teacher, you should not be in the 6th grade hallway before or after school. -If you brought back first day paperwork, please turn it in to your homeroom teacher at the beginning of the day. Please try and return this very important paperwork as soon as possible. -There is no cost to students and families for breakfast and lunch this year. If you want to put extra money on your school lunch account for chips, cookies, or ice cream, please put it in a sealed envelope with your full name, the amount of money, and your homeroom teacher’s name. Lunch money must be in the office by 8am to be on your account for that day. Do not give money to the kitchen staff during lunch! -Student drop off at the Main Entrance, 7:30 AM to 7:50 AM. Please pull ahead along the sidewalk to keep traffic moving. Do not pass a bus with flashing lights. -After school pick up at the BACK Entrance. Please find a parking spot. Pick up students will begin to be dismissed at 2:30. All traffic should leave via the road BEHIND the high school and through the old Morison School Property.

Last night, the RSU 64 Board of Directors unanimously approved the Superintendent’s recommendation of Dr. Rad Mayfield as the principal at Central High School. Mr. Mayfield started this morning. Welcome to Central, Mr. Mayfield! We are thrilled to have you join our school community!

Please note: There has been a change in meeting date for the Board of Directors this month. The Regular Monthly Meeting of the Board will take place on Tuesday, August 16 at 7pm at CCES.

We’ve been made aware some Apple users were experiencing difficulties with the RSU 64 app recently. The problem has been resolved with Apple and the app should appear for download again today or tomorrow. Please help spread this word!

Announcements 6/7/2022 –If you did not pre-order a yearbook you can still purchase one. They are available in the office for $20. – Please return any books that you have out, or pay for any lost books. –There is no gaming club or academic assistance this week. –There is no activity bus today or tomorrow. –8th grade girls interested in soccer, please stop at the office for a summer schedule. –8th graders playing fall sports-make sure you get your physical paperwork to your parents and get your appointment over the summer before August 16th. –Our 6th and 7th grade awards assembly will be held today, June 7th at 12:45 in the CMS gym, parents and guests are welcome. –Our Grade 8 Promotion will be held tomorrow, June 8th at 12:45 in the CMS gum, parents and guests are welcome.
