No Cross Country practice today.

Announcements 09-04-2025

-Cross Country, field hockey, A boys, B boys, A girls and B girls soccer will all practice today until 4:30.

-Golf will practice today at Whitetail. The bus will leave CMS at 2:45. Parents will pick up at Whitetail at 4:30.

-The cross country team is still taking anyone interested in running up until Friday. Please get your paperwork in as soon as possible.

-Chess Club will have its first meeting on Wednesday Sept 10th 2025. You will meet at the High School in Room B5 starting at 3 pm. Sign up sheet is at the office.

-Please remember to turn in your yellow envelope of first day papers if you have not done so already asa.

-Wednesday one-acts will audition this afternoon after school until 4:30. If you are also playing a sport, Ms. Peterson will split the time so you can make it to both. Today is for Wednesday sign ups only.

-The Central Middle School chorus will be holding its first rehearsal during RTI today. All that are interested are welcome to come. For those seventh and eighth graders that were in chorus last year, please join us.

Announcements 08-28-2025

-Welcome back CMS!

-Sign ups for One Acts and Art club are posted at the office window.

-Girls soccer will have try outs today from 3-4:30. No girls soccer soccer Friday or Monday.

-Boys soccer will have try outs today 3-4:15. There will be no boys soccer on Friday.

-Field hockey will practice today and tomorrow 3-5 p.m.


-Cross Country will meet after school today and tomorrow until 4:15.

-The after school activity bus will begin Sept 3rd. Please remember the activity bus does not run on Mondays and Fridays. You will need to arrange other afterschool transportation on those days. If you have any questions about the afterschool activity bus, please check with the office.

Fall sports start Monday! Monday, August 25: Girls soccer will practice 3-6 pm. Boys soccer 3-4:15 pm. Golf 9-10:30 am at CMS. Field Hockey 3-5 pm. X Country will begin Wednesday 3-5 pm. You must have all your required paperwork in to stay for try outs.

Open House for CMS will be August 26th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Homeroom assignments will be posted at open house. Class schedules will be given out on the first day of school.

Monday, August 18th at 6 pm, there will be a meeting for athletes and parents/guardians planning to participate in Fall sports at Central Middle School. The focus will be getting out information for incoming 5th and 6th graders and their parents, and to meet the coaches. However, ALL athletes and parents to attend are encouraged to attend, as each coach will be putting out information specific to their try-outs, which may start as early as Monday, August 25th. This is a great time to ask questions of coaches and to pick up schedules and needed paperwork.

Required paperwork:

If you are a 7th or 8th grade student participating for the first time; or you are a 5th or 6th grader (even if you played as a 5th grader last year), you need to have a completed physical form from a doctor, and a signed parental permission slip before being allowed to try-out.

If you are a 7th or 8th grader that has had a physical since 6th grade, you will need an updated health form - which can be completed and signed by a parent, and a parental permission slip before trying out.

You will NOT be allowed on the tryout field if you do not have your paperwork complete!

I hope to see you on the 18th at 6 pm - if the gym floor is ready, we will meet in there, otherwise we will meet in the cafeteria.

CMS Fall sports will be starting as soon as August 25th! Each coach will set dates and times that will be posted here. CMS will have a meeting for new sports parents the week before sports start. The time and date for this meeting will be posted once the date is set. All incoming sixth graders and fifth graders for cross country or field hockey must have completed physicals this summer to attend tryouts. There is also a parents permission slip ALL athletes have to have signed before trying out.

If you plan to take your child home with you at 2:25, please sign them out at the office prior to the assembly and make sure your child knows the plan ahead of time. - Please remember to look over the lost and found for missing items. Anything remaining in lost and found will be donated this afternoon. -Yearbooks are still available in the office while supplies last. They are $20. -Forms for 8th graders looking for volunteer hours forms: They are located right outside the guidance office.
