Miss Swett and I attended an amazing conference in Nashville. We danced with KOO KOO and Jack Hartman. We listened to Gerry Brooks. We attended a few sessions with Jake Daggett who is amazing and very energetic

Our final CUBS award of the year were handed out on Monday evening! Miss Jackson gave Mr. Clark the CUBS award for all of the effort he's put into building a fun and engaging program for all of our students. No matter what grade level or skill level, Brian is always trying to make connections and to help students to feel confident and proud of themselves. He also always has the best jokes! " Miss Rolfe nominated Mrs. Marsh for " helping me settle into my position in first grade. She has answered the millions of questions I have had and never appears to mind. Each day she checks in and is always giving reminders about upcoming events or deadlines. She not only has supported me in my endeavors but also has created a safe and engaging learning environment in her room that I have gotten to observe on multiple occasions. "
We want to extend our BIGGEST thanks to our volunteers who helped with field day this week! Each day was a huge success and our volunteers made all the difference! Thank you for supporting our students!!!

We'd also like to remind everyone that students are welcome to start their school day at 7:30am with us! Students who arrive prior to 7:30 will need to stay with their parents due to not having supervision before 7:30. Thank you for your corporation with this!
We have two new CUB award recipients! Mrs. Norris gave the award to Miss Rolfe. She states, ". She has stepped into a very difficult situation by taking over a class towards the end of the year. I have watched her structure her students in a very caring and supportive way." Mr. Dennis gave Miss Jackson the award and stated, "She goes out of her way to make her students feel cared for and important. She has graciously accepted multiple new students throughout the year and has always made them feel welcomed in their new environment. She goes out of her way to establish connections with staff and students not only in 5th grade, but throughout the school. She is quick-witted, empathetic, and a pleasure to work with. Any ed tech would be lucky to work with her."

Come join us for our Student Art Show!!
Mrs. Stefanik presented the award to Mrs. Norris. She said, "I would like to present the CUBS award to this person because she came into this school year when things were a little messy and has jumped right in and done an amazing job helping however she can. She often goes above and beyond and is always asking how she can help! In her short time here she has already made many connections with staff whether she is offering gardening advice, bringing in flower bulbs and plants to share or just being a smiling face at the end of everyday."
Mrs. Hart presented the award to Mr. Dennis and said, "I am presenting the CUBS award to him for a multitude of reasons. He has been a positive presence in our school building for a few years. He has wonderful relationships with many students and is willing to lend a helping hand when asked. He never hesitates to go to the Y to swim, entertain students with ‘Would you rather?’ questions at recess or offer advice to a student who may need some support. I’ve known him for a few years but have had the pleasure of having him in my classroom this year. He is compassionate, flexible and his presence is a wonderful asset to our building."
Our student council is sponsoring a theme week next week!! This will be our final theme week of the year! Students will go home with the flyers today! :)
