This summer, Mrs. Shorey and her family enjoyed a camping trip on the coast in Southwest Harbor. One of the places we explored was the Seawall. Here is a picture of her and her family together! #ccesstaffsummerbreak
Hello CCES families!
We have had a few families reach out and ask about school supply lists. We supply all the school supplies that your child(ren) will need to be successful here at school. The only items that we ask for your child(ren) to bring are:
*Backpack
*Lunchbox
*Water bottle
*Appropriate weather clothing
If any of these items are a hardship for your family, please reach out to our office staff!
Just a reminder that our CCES library is open today from 9-2. We hope to see you soon!
Did you know our CCES library will be open from 9-2 on Wednesdays until August 2nd. We would love for you to stop in for a visit. Mrs. Harrison has reading, crafts, and games all ready for you. See you soon!
It's referendum day! Please stop by your polling station today to vote on the school district budget for 2023-2024. The budget was approved unanimously at the public meeting held last week. Now, we need voters to approve that action. Thank you for participating in this process and supporting your local schools.
Today students celebrated a succesful Read-a-thon by sliming some of our CCES staff. Our Read-a-Thon raised over $14,000 and students logged hours upon hours of reading during late February and early March. Our top reader and top raiser slimed Mrs.Carr and four lucky drawn winners had an opportunity to slime Mrs. Evans and Mr. Clark. It truly was a blast and our students thoroughly enjoyed watching us get slimed from head to toe!
We have a new Hootie award winner! Mrs. Reardon gave the Hootie award to Mrs. Fogler because she is always positive no matter what challenges are brought her way. She works closely with the special ed team to provide learning targets for the week to keep them in the loop and allow them to help the students they share more successfully. She makes sure that all of her students are included in all aspects of her classroom, no matter what their needs are. She is an amazing part of our school community!
We're incredibly proud of our 4th grade philanthropists! They raised over $3,000 from their economic sale and Run4ACause challenge which will go directly to The Dempsey Center! After speaking with Patrick Dempsey earlier this year, they became inspired to give back to his family's cancer center located here in Maine! Way to go 4th graders!!
This morning our Sunshine Committee delivered coffees to sunshine staff members. This is the second Dunkin run they have made this year! Thanks a bunch to our Sunshine Committee for bringing a little "sunshine" to our staff this rainy Monday morning!
It's not to late to check out the CCES Block Party happening now until 6 tonight. Come out and see our petting zoo, ice cream truck, bounce houses, and SO much more!

Happy Memorial Day
Good thing it was a sunny day today because you all did a great job wearing that summer beach wear. Tomorrow is Flag & Fourth Friday. Wear those CCES colors proudly and let's see some Red, White, and Blue tomorrow.
It's Thank Goodness for Summer Thursday... don't forget to wear your best beach attire. Please no bathing suits!
Now those were some pretty wacky and weird hats we saw today. Tomorrow is Thank Goodness for Summer Thursday. Dig out those beach sandals, your sunglasses, and sun hats and let's go to the BEA... just kidding, let's go to SCHOOL!
We have two new Hootie award winners! Mrs. Storman awarded Mrs. Smith for her dedication to our first grade students. She works from her heart, is thoughtful, and defendable. She is always willing to jump into whatever role she is asked if her. CCES will surely miss her next year! Mrs. Wheeler awarded Mrs. Reardon for always going above and beyond everyone she comes in contact with. She takes time every day to connect with students and form relationships that are so important.
Today is Wacky, Weird Hat Wednesday. Did you remember to wear your wackiest hat?
Wow... that was a LOT of tie dye. We definitely saw a kaleidoscope of colors today. Tomorrow is Weird, Wacky Hat Wednesday. What's the wackiest, weirdest hat you have? Don't have one... get creative and a one of a kind hat for tomorrow.
We hope to see you all at our annual Block Party hosted by our PTO!
