School Attendance

Daily attendance and participation in classroom learning activities are part of the requirements for successful completion of every course.  Students are expected to be present for class every day.  Parents should call the school on any occasion that an emergency or illness prevents their child from attending school.

The responsibility for a student’s attendance at school each day lies with the parent/guardian.  Every child between his/her 7th and 17th birthday is required to attend school unless the Board of Directors has taken special action to waive the compulsory school attendance law or to approve an equivalent instructional program on an individual student basis, or the State Department of Education has approved a home instruction program for the child.
